Andy Pons 

 

Coach Pons is the Head Coach at Cambridge High School.  Previously  he was the head coach at  Woodward Academy where he has been the Varsity coach since 2014 and has led them to 5 state playoff appearances and 2 region titles during his time there. He also has served as the Head Coach of the South team in the Under Armour Underclass games since 2015. For 2 years, Coach Pons served as offensive coordinator for the Boston Cannons in the MLL from 2014-2016.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mac Pons  

Coach Mac Pons is the Assistant Coach at Cambridge High School, he joined his father at Woodward Academy last season as an assistant coach after relocating to Atlanta. Mac’s playing experience includes Four Final Four games and Two National Championship games while a student-athlete at Maryland, he was a high school Under Armor All-American at Boys’ Latin in MD. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Matt Bowerman

 

 

Coach Bowerman is currently the Head Coach of the Cambridge Youth Sr Select team.   He has coached both high school and youth lacrosse in the past and brings extensive playing experience.   Coach Bowerman played at Victor  High School  in Rochester, NY where he was a 3-year All-League selection and member of the Section V All-tournament team.   Matt continued his lacrosse playing at West Point where he was a two year starter on defense, helping to anchor an Army team that reached the NCAA Tournament in 3-consecutive seasons. Additionally, as a senior, Matt was the recipient of the inaugural Jack Emmer award, which has since been awarded annually to the most physical player on the Army lacrosse team. Coach Bowerman will work with all aspects of the Yona program while focusing on developing our defenseman and defensive midfield.
